Hay-on-Wye has a lot of different thing to offer as well as the numerous bookshops for you to browse through, there are lots of lovely river walks as well as the hill walks, cycling, canoeing, horseriding, swimming, fishing or just relaxing.
The Black Mountains and the Radnorshire hills are within easy reach of Hay. Hay is just 20 minutes from Brecon and the Beacons. The city of Hereford is only a short car journey with Shropshire, Ludlow and South Wales a little further away. There are a wide variety of places to eat and drink in Hay on Wye, if you would like to travel to some of the neighbouring eating places we can arrange a taxi for you.
